WORK ZONE SAFETY FACILITY CELEBRATES TWO-YEAR ANNIVERSARY
February 2000 marks the 2-year anniversary of the National Work Zone Safety Information Clearinghouse, a joint venture between the American Road and Transportation Builders Association and the Federal Highway Administration to improve safety in roadway construction zones. The Clearinghouse now maintains the world's most extensive roadway safety "cyberlibrary" (http://wzsafety.tamu.edu). It also contains searchable databases on safety practices, techniques, products, and services. This special section's pictures and timeline highlight the events of 1999.
