ONBOARD DIAGNOSTICS-2 (OBD-20: IT'S A WONDERLAND OF TECHNOLOGY AND REGULATION TOO
These tables and graphs summarize the statistics on highway fatalities for the 12-month period from November 1997 through October 1998, and compare these data with the corresponding period of the prior year for both the Nation and the 10 administrative regions of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. An estimated 3,730 fatalities occurred in the United States in October 1998, showing a 0.6% decrease when compared to the same month in 1997. The twelve-month total for the period ending October 1998 shows a 1.8% decrease from the corresponding total of the previous year.
