EXPERIENCE OF USAGE OF WINTER TYRES IN ESTONIA
Since winter of 1997/98, Estonia has established technical requirements and limits on the use of winter/snow tires. This paper examines the results of a study to investigate the socioeconomic effects of usage of different types of tires during winter road conditions. The effects investigated included: road damage, traffic accidents, and traffic conditions.
