BUS RAPID TRANSIT: AN INTEGRATED AND FLEXIBLE PACKAGE OF SERVICE
The definition of bus rapid transit goes beyond any particular application of technology, facility improvement, or service configuration. Many of the bus rapid transit systems around the world incorporate widely varying applications of bus technology, facilities, and operations. The approaches suggested in this paper suggest that bus rapid transit can be used as an effective tool to supplement and build toward a high capacity rail transit system.
