THE INTERFACE CONSIDERATIONS FOR COMMUNICATIONS BASED TRAIN CONTROL SYSTEMS
This paper explores the various placement options of communications base train control (CBTC) equipment on a vehicle in order to maximize maintainability, reliability and availability. It will provide options for implementing the CBTC systems. Further, it will share insight into equipment placement and maintenance of the CBTC system while discussing the advantages and disadvantages of the various options.
