TEAM MANAGEMENT: ODOT PROJECT MANAGERS WILL ISSUE REPORT CARDS TO CONTRACTORS
This article describes a program newly instituted by the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) in which road construction project managers will fill out a 100-point rating system report card on every Transportation Commission project funded through the ODOT. This program is in response to recent problems with the quality and timeliness ODOT has experienced with its contractors. The evaluation system's criteria, time parameters for completion, and penalties for sub-par ratings are explained.
