CZECH RAILWAYS EXPERIENCE WITH UPGRADING OF MIXED TRAFFIC CORRIDORS TO 100 MPH OPERATION
This presentation, offered at a conference on railroad track and structures, provides an overview of efforts by the Czech national railroad to upgrade its mixed traffic corridors to infrastructure capable of handling 100 mile per hour operation. This speed upgrade required improvements in: track components and technology, track design parameters, diagnostic practices, vehicles, and track/vehicle interaction technology.
