YOUTH AND ROAD CRASHES: A NEW REPORT
The Traffic Injury Research Foundation has released a new 44-page report titled, "Youth and Road Crashes: Reducing the Risks from Inexperience, Immaturity and Alcohol." The report explains that the risks caused by inexperience and immaturity can be lessened by introducing a comprehensive, coordinated package of measures. These include graduated licensing with zero tolerance for alcohol, improved driver education programs, support for peer groups, and parent-based education to raise awareness of the problems of teen driving.
