GEOSYNTHETICS '99 : SPECIFYING GEOSYNTHETICS AND DEVELOPING DESIGN DETAILS - CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS. 2 VOLUMES
Geosynthetics '99, held in Boston on April 28-30, 1999 was the 7th biennial conference on Geosynthetics co-sponsored by IFAI, GMA and NAGS under the auspices of the IGS. The 80 papers presented at this conference were selected from 264 abstracts. The Technical Committee accepted 128 abstracts, which ultimately resulted in the final papers. Topics covered in the conference included general uses of geosynthetics, geosynthetic clay liners, landfill final cover alternatives, testing and design of geosynthetics in roads, geosynthetics in waste containment applications, slopes and embankments, interface friction testing, leak detection, time dependent behavior of reinforcements, filtration and drainage, performance of geosynthetics in roads and railroads, and reinforced soil walls. In addition, student papers were presented at the conference.
