DEVELOPMENTS IN ROAD PRICING AND THEIR COMMUNITY ACCEPTANCE
This paper looks at the "level of service" provided by the transport system in the context of new technological developments to collect urban tolls. The technological developments in tolling and congestion pricing are reviewed with the intention of determining the feasibility of collecting tolls without impedance to vehicles. The paper concludes with consideration of the broader urban impacts and acceptance of tolling. (a) For the covering entry of this conference, please see IRRD abstract no. E200397.
