LOS ANGELES METRO RED LINE COMPLETION AND START-UP OF THE NORTH HOLLYWOOD EXTENSION
This paper describes the process followed to complete construction and testing of the Los Angeles Metro Red Line North Hollywood Extension. During the construction and system start up phases. A comprehensive test program plan was followed to ascertain that: elements of the system provided under the various construction, procurement and installation contracts conform to the system design specifications and its revisions; and, personnel who operate and maintain the system are capable of providing a safe and dependable service. The test program followed and the role of the different organizations involved in the successful completion and putting into service of the last extension of the Metro Red Line is decribed.
