MORE MANAGEMENT FOR YOUR MONEY
A bridge management program must efficiently and cost effectively maintain bridges in a safe working condition. The article discusses how a computer based bridge management system combines bridge management, work management and geographic information system features, enabling a public works or transportation department to electronically store, access and update bridge data; schedule and track labor, equipment and material invested in bridges; and examine bridge locations and their linked data on digital maps.
