TRAINING FOR THE FUTURE
South Korea opened the first test section of its high speed rail line at the end of last year. There are more than 20 separate bridges on this section, and each is similar in design. The article describes the general design of the bridges, which use lock up devices (LUDs) that are officially recognized as meeting the requirements of AASHTO's bridge specifications.
