ELECTRO-PNEUMATIC BRAKES: AAR MOVES TOWARD A STANDARD
Performance based specifications for electropneumatic (ECP) brake systems are being developed by the Association of American Railroads subsidiary Transportation Technology Center, Inc., railroads and suppliers. The goal is for the specification to ensure that ECP components from different manufacturers will operate together safely and reliably in the same train.
