The aim has been to find a suitable test site and examine the social costs and benefits. The following methods have been chosen in order to examine the economic viability of a PRT network: (1) a market segmented demand analysis of an area-wide PRT system for the entire Stockholm region; (2) a market-segmented demand analysis of a PRT system in a part of Stockholm; (3) a stated preference study of the evaluation of the PRT performance for an area in Stockholm; and (4) a social cost benefit analysis of a PRT system for a part of Stockholm.
