IMPACT OF THE CHANNEL TUNNEL ON PORT TRAFFIC: 1993 TO 1996
The Channel Tunnel opened to traffic on 6 May 1994. The services using it are the Shuttle, freight and passenger vehicle services (Folkestone to Calais), Eurostar rail passenger services (London to Lille, Paris and Brussels), and freight trains.
