CREEP OF CONCRETE BEAMS WITH EXTERNALLY BONDED CARBON FIBER TOW SHEETS
This study discusses the effect of sustained loads on concrete beams externally bonded with Carbon Fiber Tow Sheet. External wrap on a concrete beam is found to significantly decrease the rate of creep strain when compared to unwrapped concrete beam. An experimental approach to determine the creep compliance reduction factor that could fit with the existing ACI model (equation 2-8 of ACI 209R-94) has been proposed.
