LATERAL AND LONGITUDINAL CONTROLS OF A VEHICLE
This paper focuses on lateral and longitudinal control of vehicles. It describes a controller which uses the desired path as input for lateral guidance. The desired path is compared with the predicted path. The controller uses an anticipatory or predictive control in which the effect of delays in the system can be reduced.
