ENHANCING PUBLIC SAFETY, SAVING LIVES : EMERGENCY VEHICLE PREEMPTION
This brochure describes how emergency vehicle preemption can be used to enhance public safety and save lives. The technology allows for emergency response vehicles to intervene in the normal operation of traffic control systems by using wireless communications that are installed on traffic intersections and emergency vehicles.
