VALIDATION OF PROTOTYPE FDOT STATISTICAL ACCEPTANCE METHODS FOR FDOT CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS
The objective of this report was to review the proposed new statistical acceptance procedures of the Florida Department of Transportation. The research focused on portland cement concrete and soil compaction. A database of historical test values for concrete and earthwork was developed. Using statistical calculations and computer simulations, the efficiency of the proposed acceptance procedure was evaluated. Suggestions for improving the procedure were developed.
