THE PROHIBITION OF CURB PARKING
This booklet discusses curb parking, and the disadvantages it brings to traffic operations in cities. It causes serious business loss, costs the cities exorbitant amounts of money to provide the curb parking spots, constricts traffic flow, increases traffic congestion, and causes frustration to drivers when the curb parking is unavailable. The booklet discusses the practices of 10 cities in the United States that have been effective in achieving large-scale curb parking bans. It presents other considerations such as narrow streets, garages, snow removal, and business streets. It also describes regulations and ordinances, publicity and the importance of the curb parking ban to public administrators.
