BENEFIT-COST ASSESSMENT OF INTELLIGENT TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS (ITS) IMPLEMENTATION IN CANADA : SUMMARY REPORT = ANALYSE AVANTAGES-COUTS DE LA MISE EN OEUVRE DE SYSTEMES INTELLIGENTS DE TRANSPORT (SIT) AU CANADA : RAPPORT SOMMAIRE
In this report, a cost-benefit analysis of eight selected Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) applications in Canada is presented. The costs and benefits of implementing these applications in specific localized urban, interurban, and rural areas are studied. The information resulting from the local analyses is then extrapolated in order to provide estimates at a national level.
