ECONOMIC EVALUATION AND OPTIMIZATION OF LNG TANKERS
A presentation of the special features of an LNG vessel and the determination of the optimum power plant by various economic methods with the use of the computer for two LNG vessels was carried out. Sensitivity analysis for speed, fuel costs, boil-off rates, reliquefaction plant, charter rate, and return on the investment was also carried out, and the effect of the above variables on the changes of RFR, economic speed, and the profitability of the vessel was studied. Sample inputs and outputs of a computer program are also included.
