CARS AND CITIES

Today, we have about eight and a half million cars in Canada, and it often seems that they are all crowding into our cities. Figures clearly show the dominance of the car in urban transportation. The report initially compares private transportation (car) to public transit systems and makes further suggestions to improve urban mobility by introducing some measures of traffic constraint and conservation of our precious resources of fossil fuels and materials.
