MONITORING OF CLIMATIC CHARACTERISTIC ON THE SLOVAK TERRITORY FROM THE POINT OF VIEW OF ROAD CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS
When designing pavement construction, influence of traffic load and unfavourable climatic conditions must be taken into consideration. Changes of atmospheric temperature develop changes of temperature in construction and in foundations that in consequence lead to premature depletion of bearing capacity and to non-permissible deformations caused by effects of frost or other breakdowns that lowers road safety and driving comfort. The following paper introduces the analysis of atmospheric temperature measurements in five hydrometeorology stations in Slovakia. (A) For the covering abstract see ITRD E104741.
