GEOSYNTHETIC-REINFORCED PAVEMENTS
The construction of new roads or the refurbishing of existing roads is a priority for a good economy. A good function of these roads depends a lot on the quality of the road and particularly of the foundation. REHAU has initiated a laboratory research program to study the function of a geosynthetic installed in a subbase layer to increase the bearing capacity. The objectives of this test is to verify the positive benefit of using geosynthetics for subbase by saving granular material. Details of the test facility and the results with different types of geosynthetics are presented. (A) For the covering abstract see ITRD E104741.
