INTELLIGENT VEHICLE HIGHWAY SYSTEMS (IVHS) UPDATE (1998-1999)

This issue of Current Topics includes over 85 abstracts of reports, conference papers, books and journal articles which focus on intelligent transport systems with particular reference to IVHS projects in the USA, and excluding European DRIVE and PROMETHEUS projects which are covered in Current Topics in Transport 109. Abstracts of articles are included on the planning, simulation, testing and evaluation of IVHS systems. Applications include urban traffic control, public transport management, driver information and route guidance, automatic debiting and cruise control. These items have been selected from the material added to the Transport Research Laboratory's Library Database between 1998 and 1999. Much of the relevant English language literature from the UK, USA, Australia and Europe is included; some of the non-UK literature is included courtesy of the OECD International Transport Research Documentation (ITRD) database.
