MODELING AN ASPHALT PAVEMENT REPAIR SYSTEM CONSIDERING FUZZINESS OF BUDGET CONSTRAINTS
As a rule, it is difficult to decide on a repair budgeting program for asphalt pavement during the analysis period at the planning stage. Furthermore, with the increase in the number of projects, the changes in the life-cycle cost tend to be unresponsive to the changes in the budget. In order to take into consideration these ambiguities in pavement repair programs, an optimization system applying fuzzy-set theory was developed and is described in this paper.
