ATE DOTS UPDATE LIFE-CYCLE COST ANALYSIS
Pavement design engineers have been using life cycle cost analysis (LCCA) for decades to determine the most cost effective pavement type for a particular project. The article demonstrates how Michigan and Minnesota use LCCA not only to select the right pavement type, but also to streamline pavement selection into an efficient, clear-cut process that results in a higher quality product in less time.
