ASSOCIATED BRITISH PORTS--HUMBER INTERNATIONAL TERMINAL
A deepwater jetty associated landside reclamation is under construction at Immingham, England. The riverside terminal facility project--the Humber International Terminal--is the first stage of other developments planned at Immingham. This article offers insight into how such a project actually gets built. It covers commercial development, planning and contents, construction and contract philosophy, and a look at the future. The indication is that this speculative venture will attract the volume of traffic that will make it a commercial success.
