AUTOMATION OF VEHICLE TESTING ON CHASSIS DYNAMOMETERS
This paper outlines the advantages of automatic vehicle testing and gives a description of the general design of A vehicle testing room and the equipment for automation. Details are given of a computer-controlled or hand-controlled "automaton" for replacing the driver during test, with testing procedures. These are followed by A description of the control of a vehicle testing chassis dynamometer and a section on data processing. The advantages of vehicle testing automation using highly reliable industrial equipment are stated in the conclusion. /TRRL/
