THE TRANSPORTATION OF DANGEROUS GOODS: AN INDUSTRY PERSPECTIVE
The speaker represents the Industry Platform for the Transportation of Dangerous Goods (CTGG), which is an umbrella organization consisting of 14 industry associations, and includes 60,000 or so enterprises. However, only 10% of CTTG deals with hazardous materials transport. The CTTG treats hazardous materials as its own transportation mode and tends to be non-discriminatory in its approach towards the traditional modes of transport. The CTTG is a cooperative organization. The cooperative sharing of ideas and scientific research will make an imbalance between growth and safety less likely.
