DVM 2000 : BELEIDSCONTEXT [DVM 2000 : POLICY CONTEXT]
This report addresses the need to effect a transition from traffic control to dynamic traffic management in the Nord-Holland region. Previously, traffic control was achieved by traffic measures that generally operate automatically and demonstrate individual regulation. Dynamic traffic management would allow these individual traffic control measures to operate in a more cohesive and cooperative manner. This report focuses on the development of measures, instruments and the organizational aspects which can lead to this transition.
