THE DESIGN OF A TICKETLESS PARKING REVENUE COLLECTION AND MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
This paper presents the design requirements, trade-off analysis highlights and final design overview of a parking system implemented at the Sky Harbor International Airport Parking System in Phoenix Arizona. The system uses video vehicle fingerprinting for automated vehicle recognition and provides automatic computing of parking fees. Features of the system include high reliability vehicle identification, a reduction in operational costs, and enhanced security.
