ELECTRONICS' ROLE TO SURGE, STUDY SAYS

This article gives an overview of a study which examined the role of electronics in the automotive industry. The study predicts growth in the four main electronics segments, including powertrain and chassis safety, security and infotainment. It indicates that competition will grow within the industry, and that electronic parts and systems will assume a large share of vehicle production costs. The study also suggests that safety concerns will also become greater.
