AED MEMBERS ASKING FOR MORE
Members of Associated Equipment Distributors (AED) across North America are moving more money, machinery, and personnel into the equipment rental business, according to AED's business outlook survey. The 308 participants indicated that dealers are continuing to adjust their marketing plans to meet growing customer demand for rentals as well as other distributor services. Just a year ago, more than 75% expected 1999 to be a year of transition in which equipment markets would phase over to a slower rate of growth. Instead, 1999 equaled, and for some surpassed 1998's steady performance.
