THE AIR QUALITY STRATEGY FOR ENGLAND, SCOTLAND AND NORTHERN IRELAND: WORKING TOGETHER FOR CLEAN AIR
This strategy describes the plans drawn up by the Government and the devolved administrations to improve and protect ambient air quality in the UK in the medium term. This Air Quality Strategy will be received regularly. Objectives are set for 8 main air pollutants to protect health, these are: benzene; 1,3-butadiene; carbon monoxide; lead; nitrogen dioxide; ozone; particles (PM10); and sulphur dioxide. The technical annexes which form half of this document, set out the historic trends, statistics and scientific research on these air pollutants.
