NOISE DIRECTIVITY OF VEHICLES ON ACTUAL ROAD

For the prediction of road traffic noise, the radiated noise directivity of running vehicles is a very important factor to make results of measurement and calculation in good agreement. In evaluation of road traffic noise, generally, it is assumed that the vehicle is omni-directional point source. However, some studies show that a running vehicle is not considered an omni-directional point source. In this paper, by using measured data of road traffic noise level pattern of a running vehicle on an actual road, the 3-dimensional and 2-dimensional relationship equation is proposed between A-weighted sound power level and radiation angle.
