HIGH-RISE HALON
Possibility of using Halon 1301 as a fire extinguishant is discussed. The concept involved a central supply of Halon, together with a pipe header which could release the gas selectively to the fire floor. The article reports a successful test. It is written to review the potential for Halon 1301 as an economical and flexible agent for fire suppression in buildings which use compartmented air handling systems.
