SUBSEQUENT DRINK DRIVING CONVICTIONS
In 1992 the Ohio State Highway Patrol began targeting multiple drink driving offenders. A similar programme, Operation Casper, was introduced by the New Zealand Police in 1995. Data were collected on the traffic conviction histories of all convicted drinking drivers in New Zealand since July 1992. Operation Casper is being evaluated by analysis of these data. The paper presents the preliminary findings of this evaluation. (a) For the covering entry of this conference, please see IRRD abstract no. E200232.
