AESTHETICS OF CABLE-STAYED BRIDGES
Among the various bridge types, cable-stayed bridges offer the most intriguing configurations. By varying the shape of the towers, the arrangement of the cables, and the cross section of the deck girder, it is almost always possible to create a cable-stayed bridge to fit in any given landscape. Since their debut 45 years ago, the beauty of cable-stayed bridges has piqued the interest of engineers and nonengineers alike.
