The U.S. Trade and Developemnt Agency's 'World Port Conference' is organized to present the major project and procurement opportunities, as well as port privatization initiatives, developing throughout the world based on the aforementioned trends. The 50 projects described in this report represent only a sample of port and maritime opportunities fron 32 countries around the world. The projects profiled collectively represent an export potential of more than $8.8 billion. U.S. companies interested in establishing a foothold in the international market must follow up on these and other business opportunities continuously utilizing local business contacts and partners.
