OUTDOOR-INDOOR AIR QUALITY IN RIYADH: PARTICULATE MATTER, PB AND CO
A project designed to evaluate indoor and ambient air quality in and around different types and uses of buildings in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, was conducted July 1992 through November 1994. This paper presents the results obtained for three pollutants (TSP. PB and CO). The investigation revealed that TSP and Pb levels were unacceptable and exceeded the standards for both indoors and outdoors in most monitored locations. CO levels, on the other hand, showed acceptable levels at most locations, with the exception of few sites located at extremely traffic congested locations.
