HOW WILL THE TRADITIONAL RETAILER COMPETE WITH E-COMMERCE RETAILERS EVOLVING IN TODAY'S MARKETPLACE: THE SUPPLY CHAIN PERSPECTIVE
This paper discusses how the traditional retailer will compete with the electronic-commerce (EC) retailer in today's market. It begins with an overview of retailing in the EC world, followed by a discussion of the strengths of the traditional retailer. An explanation is then given of leveraging the supply chain expertise. It concludes with thoughts and opinions regarding the future of retailing in the "Brave New World" of the electronic marketplace.
