$286 MILLION IN DISCRETIONARY FUNDS ALLOCATED FOR STATES
The Federal Highway Administration has allocated $286 million in discretionary funds for infrastructure projects in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. The money will be made available for projects in seven categories: construction and improvement of roads formally designated as scenic byways, repair and improvements to the Interstate Highway System, repair of deficient bridges, repair of insufficient bridges that need seismic retrofitting, innovative bridge research, construction of highways on public lands such as national parks, and ferry boats and terminal to expedite movement of people and goods across inland and coastal waterways.
