DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF PHONE GETS SOME STATIC

This article looks at the growing criticism over cell phone use while driving. It cites attempts by legislators to introduce laws which would make it illegal to drive and use a cell phone simultaneously. The article also discusses results from a survey of law enforcement officers. Reference is made to five studies that conclude that despite the fact that cell phone usage presents a potential hazard for drivers, there is no concrete evidence that shows that cell phone use leads to traffic accidents.
