LEARNING FROM LEARNING : PRINCIPLES FOR SUPPORTING DRIVERS
Addresses the question of how driver's continued learning of components of driving skill can best be supported by intelligent in- car systems. The acquisition of driving skills is discussed and it is suggested that this framework should also be used in determining how driver's later learning is best supported. The principles involved are applied to support system design, and a system designed to augment feedback to drivers on their performance is described.
