THE BUS AND MAN
L'AUTOBUS ET L'HOMME
The author emphasizes the need for optimizing the bus as a function of the size and comfort of the human body. The physical and psychological requirements of the passenger must condition the construction and internal layout of the vehicle, its cleaning, and its safety. In the near future it is envisaged to use diesel engines which have a low pollution level, although other types might be also in use. The aim should be to have a maximum decrease in exhaust fumes with a view to preventing pollution. Efforts must also be made as regards reduction of noise. /TRRL/
