GOING THE DISTANCE: PROFITING FROM THE MARKET OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES
In keeping with the conference theme "Setting the Pace", this paper provides a glimpse into the tourism and travel market for persons with disabilities as a back drop for outlining the Canadian Transportation Agency's efforts to develop transportation accessibility. The Agency's work in developing and monitoring the Codes of Practice in Canada and in facilitating worldwide accessibility with the International Civil Aviation Organization is extensive.
