PUBLIC TRANSPORT IN DEVELOPING CITIES IN THE FACE OF GLOBALISATION
One of the characteristics of transport production is that it cannot be stock-piled. This means that urban transport is necessarily local and anchored within a geographical, social, and political context. This also means that globalization has a more indirect influence, impacting on models of transport organization, vehicle production, capital invested and management services. This article attempts to identify obstacles that face public transport in the cities in developing countries.
